South Eastern Queer Arts is based in beautiful Huntsville, Alabama.

Huntsville is one of the most recognized cities in the Southeast - consistently named by a variety of publications as one of the best places to live and work in the USA.

Three of its main attractions are the Huntsville Museum of Art, The US Space and Rocket Center, and Lowe Mill.

Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment is America’s largest independent center for the arts. With over 120 working artists, small businesses, restaurants, and live performance venues, this huge historic textile mill is now a rising home for music, art, and culture, offering artists an opportunity to exhibit their work in sponsored galleries and at their Artists Market held every Saturday.

We are currently looking for Directors in major cities throughout the South Eastern USA.

This is a volunteer position for an organization which promotes art created within our LGBTQ family.
The requirements are few, and only occupy a few hours a week of your time.

We are also especially looking for participants either as a display venue or for artists who would like to submit their work for

South Eastern Queer Arts Week, which begins Friday, Sept 25, 2015, and continues through Saturday, October 3.

We are looking for positive, dedicated, and passionate leaders and participants. For more info contact us at:

Celebrating LGBTQ art throughout the South East

We ponder. We innovate. We create. We amaze. We're an independent, creative group of LGBTQ artists that seek out fellow artists and venues within our vast society. Our mission is to connect artists to venues to display their art and to encourage venues to support them.

We  network throughout the South Eastern US through social media, local LGBTQ agencies and anywhere there is an opportunity to expand the exposure of LGBTQ art.
